I shot this photo at Halls Gap in Victoria. For me, the photo evokes a post-apocalyptic world where people struggle to rebuild the important elements of our global and local cultures (and what that means to me), which is quite strange because, as empty of people and desolate as the landscape looks in this photo, it's actually teeming with tourists and backpackers.

I produced this digital portrait shortly after char2, in 2005. For me, Portman caries a similar but distinctly different feeling for me as char2. I'd just gotten back to Australia after living in Japan for 3 years when I produced these images and it's amazing to look at them now and identify the self reflection in them.

I produced this image in Blender back in 2005. Though this render is quite old now, I still really like the atmosphere of it.
